LAURIE MCPHERSON

Initially, we hoped to throw a massive party for Laurie, the kind that she would have loved to attend. However, we realized quickly how many friends Laurie had everywhere, and it just wasn't going to be possible to find a single location that everyone to travel to. Mom would not have wanted to leave anyone out. 

On November 1, we invite you to celebrate Laurie in a way that feels most natural. Perhaps you will plant a new plant, buy yourself colorful flowers, make music, go for a walk, eat a smoked oyster, or do the splits. Please do something you would have loved to do with Laurie, and then take a picture. Misha will be posting pictures of all of your wonderful and joyful adventures with Laurie on November 2nd :) 

Finally, why a website? Laurie always wanted a book to be written about her. While I always told her that she should always write her own story, she really did want a story written about her. This website is a small peek at the story of Laurie, and I hope that you will help fill in the gaps with your own stories. I would love her story to be told from all of our perspectives. This website will be maintained for a long time, so please come back and read the stories of her friends and family. Please click on all of the sections above.
